I was fortunate to meet Jeff and eventually try the prototype safety device. As a retired law enforcement officer and avid cyclist I knew right away this product would help recreational cyclists with being aware of their surroundings. I believe this product is just as important as front/rear safety lights. The ease of use to install and operate the product is impressive. When I used to commute to work I wouldn't mind using the rear facing camera. I was always traveling at high traffic times and it was dangerous on certain roads. Having a rear facing camera could be beneficial to your family if you had evidence that your accident or death was caused by something else other than your own lack of good judgment. A lot of times people don't ride bikes because of preconceived hazards. There's a fear factor involved more so now than there ever has been and it's due to phone distractions.

This is a hugely critical part of cycling reality now. The guy that got me started in triathlon was hit from behind and killed almost two years ago now. Since then, I always ride afraid. The Garmin Varia works…but you still need to turn around to see what's coming. CycleSight can help a lot of people.
